HATE SPEECH - 2020
The following report, aimed at identifying various forms and sources of hate speech in media and public discourse, reflects the results of media monitoring conducted in a period between 1 January and 31 December 2020.
Apart from media outlets, the monitoring focused on other sources, namely, politicians, clergy, civil society organizations and individual members of the society.
The introductory part of the report presents the key findings and the methodology of the study; the first part provides unified quantitative data and qualitative data; the second part discusses hate speech by sources.
The report was prepared in partnership with the UN Association of Georgia (UNAG) and the USAID-funded program Promoting Integration, Tolerance and Awareness in Georgia (PITA).
